So PS4 announced it’s free games line up for PS Plus users on July 27th .

“We’re happy to share the free PS4 games for PS Plus members this August! This month we look to satisfy your inner space pirate, and let you battle it out with friends in a frenzied tower builder.”

Without getting into the ever continuing conversation of whether Playstation is screwing us over or not, I would like to give my quick thoughts on both games.

Tricky Towers

Releasing on August 2nd for the PS4, Tricky Towers is a brand new game on the console that is being available to PS Plus users for free (Probably $15 without, prices haven’t been announced yet). It is a Tetris sort of multiplayer game(also a single player mode for practice) which looks like it could be a lot of fun. From first glance, it seems like you have to build your tower and cast spells to protect them and at the same time cast spells on breaking other towers. I sense some Smash Bros level fun here.

Rebel Galaxy

Rebel Galaxy looks like a pretty solid game. The player takes control of a ship and then basically go around the universe trading, pirating or battling. If you are a Han Solo fan, I see a lot of potential in this game. Released in 2015, the $20 game is now available for free in August for PS Plus subscribers.

Overall, I think both games are pretty cool and I unlike many in the universe don’t feel cheated. Getting AAA titles is really nice, but I like my share of independent games and this is a great way to support them. The games will be available for download starting August 2nd. I will be reviewing both games so stay tuned for that.
